Younger dd is working her way through Explode the Code... This morning I'm checking her work -- you're supposed to answer the question "yes" or "no" based on what makes sense. The question was: "Will a beaver furnish its home with a lantern?"
She marks "No" but draws a line from the "Yes" box to her comment: "In Nanea they will."
We watched the movie the other night so I guess it's on her mind.

That reminds me of an exercise M was doing. She was supposed to cross out the wrong word and put in the right one in the sentence, "The blanket was hanging at the window." Obviously, blanket was wrong, and you were supposed to write in curtain. But in our house, we have blankets hanging at several windows to keep out drafts or block more light, so she didn't know anything was wrong!!
Oh, and R is ALWAYS arguing why the answer should be yes, but or no, but!
