I came home to lots of color in my perennial border (that sounds so official! it's just a strip of dirt with some plants in it alongside my (ugly) blacktop driveway...) and new shoots peeking out of the dirt & mulch. The pansies in the pots on the deck look great too. Yay! According to my garden journal last March we had a hard freeze on the 26th... I think we're safe from that this year as the prediction is for warmth all week. I am cautiously optimistic about this year. I hope I don't screw something up and the deer stay away!
