Challenge

Dh and the kids spent several hours this morning moving The Big Rock. It's resided in the back yard for the last 7 years, taunting dh with its hugeness and weightiness. They moved it all around the house to the front yard, where we are going to put in new garden bed this fall. (It doesn't look quite as big in the pic as it is in person, some kind of optical illusion.)

Our property is full of rocks. Dh says a glacier left them all here. (I'm not really sure what that means.)

You may be able to see from the pic the way they moved it, Ancient Egyptian-style, rolling the plywood (upon which the rock was placed) along metal pipes that were moved on wooden tracks. (Not sure if that made any sense.) A lesson in physics and using one's brain as well as one's brawn.
