The Oldest

Ds is in his final year of homeschooling. Wow. I think he'll have a good year: he's doing most of it at home, still:

Literature (right now he's finishing David Copperfield -- he chooses from a list of suggested titles), Research Writing (supervised by dh), US & World History (Beautiful Feet WWII to Vietnam), Physics (Apologia), Spanish II (hopefully will join a conversation class in October), and Pre-Calculus (Teaching Textbooks).

He plays his guitar daily and takes a lesson each week. Chorus once a week + performances over the fall/winter. Skating & weight training each twice weekly. Plus a Drama class once a week + work at home and in small groups. Bible Study on Wednesdays.

He's in post-production mode with this summer's movie. Hopefully it'll be ready to premiere in January. He's also begun thinking about the next project... probably a short.

Oh, Emily, so good to catch up with all going on with you. Your son does so much. It makes me feel way behind, but I'll try not to. Okay? LOL.

I'm still thinking of you as you grieve the loss of your friend. Very sad indeed.

As far as the lost tooth: at your daughter's and her bff's ages, it is probably not anything symbolic. NOW, if you and I were to each lose a tooth at nearly the same time on the same day from the same orally geographical place, it would be significant, but that's (hopefully) still a few years down the road for us yet.

Hugs,
Lynn

Thanks Lynn for your kind words.
I'm still shaken.
