Ayr Mount

Yesterday afternoon we took the dog and went for a walk around Ayr Mount. I'm ashamed to say that I've lived in this town for over 8 years and only just recently have discovered this wonderful place!

It's only a few miles from us and right next to our little downtown... but when you are there you feel like you're miles from anything!

The Sammy dog loved it. Even older dd (who was very tired) seemed to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and beauty all around us.

There's a pond behind the house. The land slopes downward and is perfect for running fast with a crazy corgi dog.

And then it slopes down again.

Another gorgeous view of the pond and the reflected trees.

We had a lovely time! Our state is so pretty this time of year.

Good observation Natalie! Since the original owner came from Scotland in the early 1800s that would make sense.

It's a really lovely spot. Maybe next time you come visit we can take a walk over there. :-)

Beautiful! We should meet there sometime and let the girls get to know each other better. We could talk about keepers.

That'd be great Lynn. I still have that idea on my mind... in fact the books are sitting right here on my desk to remind me to talk with you about it!
