7 Quick Takes: On Time!!

It's Friday again... and here in my small section of the Carolina Piedmont (at least for the last few weeks) that means "7 Quick Takes". Thank you Conversion Diary for hosting.

1. A pretty picture to start things off.
My mom lent me this amaryllis since they were heading out-of-town for a few days and she thought it might bloom while they were gone. She was right! (Though now they are back but she's letting me keep it to enjoy.)

2. Older dd finished her 15-day driver's education course yesterday! So glad that is over... and now it's on to the 6 hours of driving before she can get her permit.

3. We have a few interesting things on the agenda for the weekend. Saturday night ds and older dd will be seeing a local high-school production of The Music Man and on Sunday afternoon dds and I will enjoy The Sleeping Beauty, put on by a local ballet company.

4. March madness continues, of course. Older dd gleefully shared the news of Duke's demise this morning when I was making coffee. Tonight she plans to stay up late enough to watch the Tarheels vs. Gonzaga.

5. But first we'll be watching some figure skating as the World Championships continue in Los Angeles this week. We are getting our money's worth out of Time Warner Cable this week, that's for dig-dog sure.

6. Tomorrow morning I'll visit the local farmer's markets again, or at least that's the plan. If the weather cooperates and I have the energy, I also plan to treat myself to a local plant store/garden center... annuals for sure and maybe a few perennials if I see something that looks good. I have a few bare spots to fill!

7. I was going to leave you with a short clip of older dd's dance test from the weekend... but Blogger is not cooperating. So instead I'll just encourage you (again) to visit my online video channel (link in the sidebar) and enjoy the whole thing!

Quite good -- tho' the acting was uneven. The girl playing Marian had a fantastic voice so I enjoyed that. They included all the big dance numbers and the sets & costumes were amazing. Tho' in a way the production kind of took over the story... if that makes any sense.
