7 Quick Takes: Bahamas Picture Version

1.  View from our room, taken a few minutes after we arrived.

All those pools contain aquatic creatures of one sort or another,

the one at the bottom is full of rays!

Gargantuan cruise ships came in and out of port

straight ahead -- in fact I think you can see

the tiniest bit of one just disappearing behind the hotel.

2.  View the next morning.

The weather was good for the most part,

fairly breezy and somewhat cooler than normal

(we were told) but mostly nice.

3.  The colors are just amazing.

This is the main beach area at the resort.

4.  We thought these doors were so cool!

This is the main entrance to the Royal Towers.

5. There is artwork and sculpture everywhere.

This resort pretty much defines over-the-top.

(For Amazing Race viewers, this is the same slide

that stopped that one team last season...

well except that one was in Dubai and this is

in the Bahamas but you know what I mean...) 

It was way cool. 

When you hit the pool you enter a tube

that goes through shark-infested waters!
