This past weekend went swimmingly. (Can you say that when so much ice was involved?) The Nutcracker on Ice was a treat; younger dd did an awesome job and enjoyed every minute, I believe. Ds's choral event went well, according to Grandad who was in the audience. "Lessons and Carols" at church Sunday morning was bliss for me and I think a blessing to the congregation. In addition to Vivaldi's "Magnificat" we sang an a capella setting of "Ave Maria" (can't remember the composer, sorry!) that is beyond gorgeous and a whole bunch of carols as well as a final anthem "Where Shepherds something-or-other". (I could hum the tune, just can't remember the words!) The orchestra was fabulous. Finally, older dd's team placed well in their competition and had fun in the process.
Yup. Feeling pretty pleased.
