We're on the 2nd hammie since Nomos (doesn't that sound like some sort of Egyptian diety?) was rather unsociable and attacked all who came near her. Not the sort of cuddly-keep-her-in-my-pocket kind of pet dd had wanted. She went back to the megapetstore under the 14-day guarantee and now we have Nomos 2. So far so good. She doesn't seem interested in biting and has let dd hold her a number of times. Here's a pic of her in one of her preferred positions -- inside a tube, sleeping, often upside down. Who's to understand the mind of a hamster?
