Redeaux

Younger dd's bedroom walls are being transformed from "Lavender Ice" to "Palace Rose" today. Of course the dark purple trim and evergreen rug are staying so it's quite the dramatic look. I bought some stamps in the shapes of flowers & butterflies that we'll put on the wall in a random fashion. We ordered a loft bunkbed (includes desk, bookcase, and dresser as well as two beds) from Haverty's in the whitewash finish. She's so excited. I have no idea about bedding or curtains but guaranteed it'll be pink & purple. I'll post pics when it's all done (which will be a while).

The impetus for this is that the two hand-me-down single beds and hand-me-down dressers in her room are going to our wee home in South Bend. (Well that and her assertion that she is "so TIIIRREEDD of looking at PPPUUURRPLLE").

Same for the bed and other assorted furniture in older dd's room. Her walls will no longer be "October Sky" (which is really just a slightly peachy white). They will become "Utah Sky" which is a lovely blue. (Again, the green carpet stays but the trim in there is white.) She chose a daybed and we're going to put white linens on it with some decorative pillows in blues & greens. Then we'll add a small secretary desk and bookcase painted white. The fish tank stays, of course. And a blue reading chair. We're planning on re-vamping her closet to hold clothes, etc since the room is really too small to house a dresser as well.

OK so now you're up on all that!
