Just doing my part

Ds visited a friend today who lives about 25 mins away on the highway so I stayed in the area and did some shopping. First it was Linens & Things to find curtains for older dd's room. That and a seat cushion for her desk chair were the last two things needed... I'll post pics soon of how fab both the girls' rooms look. Anyway, stopped in Pier 1 for a minute and also tried to spend some money at Best Buy but they didn't have what I wanted.

Then it was off to Target... I spent well over an hour in there just wandering from the produce section through electronics, over to housewares, a quick dally through office products and then to the registers. Pretty much found what I "needed".

I then braved The Mall for a few minutes. Held my breath and dove in, heading straight for The Gap to see what their jeans look like (answer, like everyone else's but too much $). I know I'm a freak of nature in this regard but I truly can't stand malls so I didn't last very long... emerged gasping for air about 20 minutes after I entered.

So anyway, with outfitting/furnishing our little house in SB and re-doing/decorating/furnishing the girls' bedrooms I think I'm really done with home improvement and bed&bath&whateverelse stores for a good long while. I've definitely done my part to support consumerism in northern Indiana and central North Carolina.

I can't stand malls either - particularly the BIG ONE. But, we have some clothes shopping to do so K and I are going to try the new mall in Burlington (it's all outside) this week.

Hi! I also HATE malls. They just give me a headache. :)

Anyway - thanks for popping over to say hello on my blog! I'm returning the favor, because I love comments and I bet you do too!

Clarify one thing for me: I'm a bit confused - are you in South Bend or NC? Or what? :)
