We had a yummy fish & chips lunch in the seaside town of Waldport and then continued on up the coast to the Three Capes Scenic Drive. Again, amazing views, reminding us a lot of both the coast of Maine as well as parts of Ireland we've seen. We got out of the Jeep at Oceanside and walked on the (very windy but) beautiful beach. The Three Arch Rocks were barely visible through some very low-lying clouds & mist. There was a really cool walking tunnel right through the rock to another small beach on the other side.
Our day ended in the town of Tillamook. For dinner (we were still full from lunch!) we went a mile down to the road to the Tillamook Cheese factory & Visitor's Center and had some amazing ice cream! (I had "Cows in Brownie Batter".) We also got to view the cheese making process and read up all about this awesome company! A really fun way to end our day exploring the northern coast of Oregon.
