Teacher Workday

We're having a teacher work day here at S**** School #2. The students are catching up on work assigned to them by outside teachers and I'm putting together school plans for the next few weeks.

Yesterday we pretty much cleaned out the fridge of Thanksgiving foods... except for the mammoth dish of sweet potato casserole. I think that'll go in the freezer today. I simmered the turkey carcass most of the afternoon and need to deal with that next. The ham bone is already in the freezer. I think that'll go into a bean soup sometime soon.

What are you doing today?

Do you still have leftovers in your fridge?
[Here's a photo of my turkey-day plate. Sorry, I'm not much of a food photographer. Can you find the turkey? Look carefully in the middle in between the mashed potato and the green beans. :-) ]

We usually bring leftovers back from my mother's house, but my sister and her family were there too this year so there weren't any leftovers after Friday evening.

We got back to homeschooling today. Younger son and I started a weaving project which he's very excited about. He spent half the time weaving and half the time talking about how wonderful it was.

I didn't expect that!
