We're having a good week here in our cozy little home in the woods. My brother and his five children, along with a friend, are here which makes for 12 of us. (My sis-in-law is in PA supervising their house move and visiting with her family.) Thanks to airbeds, my new couches upstairs, and the daybed in my office, everyone has a bed! It's working rather well.
Activities have included ice skating (twice), lots of and lots of tree-swinging, playing Lego Racers, making collages from magazine pictures, other computer games, card games, working out at the gym, air hockey, guitar playing, football watching, talking, and of course the premiere last evening of "The Pinecone Priority" -- everyone chipped in to help make that a success!
And of course there's been lots and lots of eating.
Here's our menu for tomorrow when my father-in-law will join us too: roast turkey, ham (the "spiral" kind), mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, sweet potato casserole, green beans w/almonds, stuffing (both stove-top and special stuffing my fil will bring), cranberry sauce, cranberry-orange relish, homemade applesauce, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie (w/ vanilla ice cream or whipped cream)
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
