These 2-page spreads are examples of photos and journalling that span several years -- theme pages rather than event-based.

The first highlights my kids' relationship with their grandfather and some of the things they've enjoyed together over the years:

The second spread is all about our dog. The photos span several years, from the time we got him until recently. The journalling explains more detail about some of the things we love about our doggie.
