First Time for Everything



Yesterday (for the first time ever) I made Corned Beef & Cabbage (carrots & potatoes included) and Irish Soda Bread for my family for "linner" (as in, it was really dinner but we ate it at 1:00 pm). I enjoyed it and thought it pretty much came out well. Not sure about everyone else, but at least dh thanked me for enabling the family to "learn about our country's traditions" or something like that. :-)
I actually ended up making FOUR loaves of the bread, since when I was putting away the "buttermilk" after putting the first two in the oven, I realized that it was half-and-half instead! Oops! So, we had a little taste test to see which loaf we liked better...
