7 (Super Short) Quick Takes

1. It's a beautiful morning here, pale blue sky and a promise of another warm day. The girls and I are on Day 4 of our homeschool year... it's been a rather rocky few days but we're working it out.  (I will post more specifics soon, promise!)  Yesterday we took a lovely long walk around St. Joseph Lake, one of the two on campus.

2. Plans for skating here in IN are coming together. Though it actually looks like the coaching part will occur in Michigan, a nearby state. A place for older dd to take ballet has been found.

3. Ds is slowly recovering from his encounter with "Influenza Like Illness". Yup it has an official name. We are hoping he'll be close to 100% by Sunday which will be the magic 2-week mark.

4. ND at Michigan on Saturday. Nervous but hopeful.

5. Maybelle kitty was spayed yesterday and is back home now safe and sound. We were entertained by the vet's instruction for "no running, playing, or jumping" for 14 days. Right. Maybelle does not seems to know about this restriction and is acting Completely Normal, i.e. still leaping tall buildings in a single bound and playing Attack the Corgi Dog.

6.  We visited the girls' favorite tree on campus yesterday.
