August Advice

My friend has a nice post here on late-summer blooming perennials. Particularly for those of us who struggle with the intense heat & humidity in the southeast.

Oh and I'll take some of those long-blooming black-eyed susans!

I'll have some long-blooming black-eyed susans for you this fall! You'll plant them, and everything will seem fine. Then, some morning, you'll wake up to find them taking over your flower bed, moving into your house, making free use of the kitchen (leaving crumbs all over), and using up all your hot water for showers while leaving dirty towels on the floor.

But they're pretty.
