You may remember that we a) had 10 trees taken down on our property earlier this year and that b) that resulted in a lot of damage to our "lawn" meaning that we'll need to do some serious work on it this fall. (Well, it needed serious work already but after the Bobcat rode all over what lawn there was there wasn't any lawn anymore, that was.)
OK.
Well then dh has been building walls and digging up and moving rocks. For the wall and for to make it more possible that grass might actually grow.
So that brings me to the photo which is of the latest rock, discovered in the front yard. It's rather big and rather deep. Younger dd is standing on it to give you some perspective. No grass is growing over and or in the vicinity of this rock.
Dh decided he couldn't move it so he went at it with a sledgehammer to diminish it's bigness. (Unfortunately a large piece of rock went flying into his not-protected-with-pants leg and he has a lovely gash now... but that's another story for another day...)
