Sick

I'm down now with whatever virus is working its way through our family. Didn't sleep well due to the coughing. Hopefully dh and older dd will be spared.

Ds is still coughing (residual from the walking pneumonia) but that seems to be improving. Younger dd also still coughing and her temperature is still slightly elevated which I don't get. She's on day 5 of her amoxycillin.

I have plans to join dh in SB on Friday so if you think of us, please pray we'll all be closer to health by then. Thanks!!

really sorry - hope you are on the mend.
re: the fever - two comments: either she is fighting something virus-wise that antibiotics won't touch, or the amox is only fighting one type of bacteria and she something else brewing that needs a different antibiotic. My 2 cents.

Lau I think you've hit it. It entirely depends on whether the rattle they are hearing is due to one thing or the other. (We were at the dr again today since she coincidentally had an annual exam scheduled.) We are giving the amox one more day. If she's still running a temp tomorrow I'm switching her to zithromax. The thing I forgot to ask the dr is if you can give both at the same time?

Or like you say, it could all be viral. It's just lasted so long. Not her usual thing, that's for sure.
